Who We Are
Our office includes a psychologist, a psychiatrist, other mental
health associates, and our administrative assistant. The clinical staff are all licensed in their professional areas and have
advanced training well beyond that required by licensing boards to practice in their areas. Marolyn
Morford, Ph.D. (morford@ccad-pa.com): Marolyn
Morford is a clinical and developmental psychologist in practice in State College. She has over 25 years of experience working with individuals in a variety of contexts. She
is past president of the Central Pennsylvania Psychological Association, a member of the American Psychological Association’s
Division 53 (Clinical Child Psychology), Pennsylvania Psychological Association’s (PPA) Child Custody Task Force, as
well as PPA’s Committees on Ethics, Continuing Education, the Practice-Research Network, and chair of PPA’s E-newsletter.
She has testified before legislative committees on the effects of video games on children and on effectiveness research regarding
drug and alcohol problems. She has also testified on custody and other child-related matters in several Pennsylvania counties
(Allegheny, Blair, Bucks, Centre, Clinton, & Mifflin). She likes summarizing current research to schools, agencies, and

John Boswell, M.D. (boswell@ccad-pa.com): Board Certified in General & Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. B.A.,
Guilford College, N.C., M.D., University of Virginia; Residency, University of Chicago; Dept. of Psychiatry. Additional 2
year Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Duke University. Having been in practice since 1986, he has
a broad range of experience working in a variety of treatment settings, including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization,
and residential treatment, and 9 years as director of a children's inpatient hospital unit working with the most severe
kinds of disorders.
